Corporal and Social Responsibility
Driver: condition causing other subsequent decisions to take place based on its occurrence
Sustainability: meeting the needs of the present consumers without any compromise to the ability to meet future needs

Examples of drivers

The key drivers in the age of responsibility according to Wayne Visser include; cultural tradition, governance gaps, political reform, socio-economic priorities, market access, crisis response, investment incentives, international standardization, supply chain integrity and stakeholder activism (Visser, 2011).
Sustainability merits and application
The reason for seriousness in sustainability is that climate change and environmental degradation are key business risks, it becomes hard to hide for companies that destroy the environment and sustainability has become a major driver for competitiveness and business strategy. Companies that fail to embrace sustainability cannot achieve high levels of competitive advantage and may not survive in the market.
What does it mean to be responsive in the Age of Responsibility? Provide examples, and explain the trade-off between responsiveness and scalability.

Key term definition

Responsive: To be responsive involves reacting towards the business ideologies of sustainability, integrating sustainable business operations and fighting environmental degradation.
It involves embracing changes that bring about or promote clean environment through sustainable business strategies.
