The rate of alcohol consumption has been rampant and gradually increasing in today’s social life particularly among the teenagers, adults and even elderly people within the society. This is attributed to peer pressure and bad influence among the youths, as well as various challenges people face in life. As a result, they seek refuge and solace by use of alcohol so as to reduce the stress. This report aims to provide a wide perspective of alcohol consumption at Perth, Kansa City in the United States. It was observed that the rate of alcohol abuse is rapidly growing at this particular site, and thus the need to salvage the situation and save many of our resourceful and energetic people from drug addiction.
Today, the efficiency and effectiveness of many organizations have demonstrated a rapid drop in their performance and productivity. This is attributed to the use of alcohol among the employees which affects their ability to provide quality services and put the required efforts for the betterment and success of the organization. That notwithstanding, the academic performance of students has also declined significantly. This is the effects of alcohol abuse and addiction which not only affects the personal life of an individual but also extends to negatively impact his/her duties, roles and responsibilities.
Alcohol abuse and addiction have become a major illness in the work environment. It has debilitated employees and proved costly to employers. Therefore, it’s important to identify those people suffering negatively from alcohol addiction, and implement programs as a defense against alcohol abuse. The Alcoholics Anonymous meeting sought to help those people suffering from alcohol abuse and addiction overcome the vice and moderate their drinking habits. This was geared towards helping alcoholics students and employees maintain their academic performance in school, as well as work performance respectively.
It was found that a higher percentage of the population suffering from alcohol abuse and addiction was as a result of family history and environment. Most people attributed their alcoholism behavior to their alcoholic’s parents and relatives and spending time with people who drink heavily making them vulnerable and aggravating their risk of alcoholism.

- Develop and learn better alternatives to managing anger, as well as reducing depression and anxiety apart from alcoholism.
- Have a long-term personal initiative of taking good care of oneself by building and maintaining a healthy lifestyle and social life.
- Attend regular in-person support groups so as to prevent relapse as well as maintain sobriety.
- Build a sober social network by making new friends who will support his/her alcohol abuse and addiction recovery process.
